The Director's Office provides leadership and long-range planning for researchers regarding funding and research opportunities. It directs the process of grant applications, and cultivates and maintains WCER's relationships within the university and the education community at large. WCER Research Highlights, the official WCER news publication, disseminates WCER's resarch findings to a wide audience.

The WCER Academic Staff Advisory Committee was created in 2011 to enhance the intellectual and social context for the center's academic staff. With an elected board of 6 staff, the board works to build community, enhance communication, link staff with similar interests, participate in governance, and address enrich the evaluation process for academic staff. Current members: Beth Atkinson, Mark Connolly, Madeline Hafner, Jenny Madigan, Sarah Mason, Meredith Trahan. Beth Graue serves as an ex officio member.
